Outside, it's a typical Canarian house, with exposed stone and a patio complete with a trickling water feature. Inside, there's character in abundance, with a mezzanine-style second floor, wooden beams and a delightfully rustic feel. Waking up to the rural tranquility of Tacoronte is a dream - make yourself breakfast from the fresh fruits that grow in the garden then take a seat on the terrace to savour them among the trees. If you ever manage to tear yourself away from this picture-perfect scene, there are plenty more sights to discover in the Tenerife countryside. Head to one of the black sand beaches for some salty sea air, or take to the hiking trails of Teide National Park if you're craving some adventure. There's nothing better than returning to this warm and cosy home after a day of exploring the unspoiled beauty that surrounds it.
