With a warm and welcoming interior filled with traditional design features and a range of helpful amenities, not to mention a truly stunning pool area that is simply perfect for long summer days spent basking in the almost guaranteed Portuguese sunshine, we think this delightful holiday home provides a great base for experiencing a slightly different side of Portugal. Situated in the picturesque Lima Valley, this location offers up an alternative to the classic beach break. Instead allowing you to soak up some typically Portuguese culture, cuisine, and even some Roman ruins in the history-laden villages that dot the valley. Hike or bike through unspoiled verdant landscapes, perhaps stopping at an authentic eatery for a taste of the local cuisine (we especially love the selections of local cheeses and meats on offer, as well as the hearty regional Caldo Verde). Then, it's back to the calm and comfort of your home away from home. Evenings can be spent sweating away the stress in your private sauna, replicating Portuguese favourites in the traditional covered outdoor churrasco, or simply absorbing every aspect of that phenomenal panoramic vista with a glass of Vinho Verde in hand. Be it an evening dip, a quick... game or two of ping pong, or cosying up in the at-home cinema with a classic – this home provides plenty of scope for relaxation and action, socialising, or some much-needed me time.
