This beautiful stone gatehouse, standing proudly in the rolling green Warwickshire countryside, offers a unique stay steeped in history. Sympathetically and lovingly converted into a tranquil retreat for two, this charming home has been delicately modernised while still showcasing its original features in the living area, which occupies the original gatehouse. Sink into the sumptuous velvet sofa, close your eyes and you can feel the history seeping out of the walls. What stories could this home tell, if it was able to speak? The remainder of the home brings you back to the present day. We love the sleek olive green kitchen which oozes country charm with a very deliberate nod to its location. This is a kitchen you’ll be keen to cook in – after rustling up a delicious dinner for two, stroll out to your quaint sunroom to dine with views out to the garden. After dinner, sink into your wood-fired hot tub with a glass of wine as a blanket of stars appears overhead and drapes itself over you. Set within 450 acres of beautiful parkland, this is a place to enjoy peace, relaxation, and reconnect with nature. If you can bring yourself to leave your cosy countryside... haven, there are plenty of walks to enjoy in the local area, so this is a holiday your four-legged friend won’t want to miss out on. If you’re keen to learn more about Shakespeare’s England, it’s just a twenty-minute drive to Stratford-upon-Avon, which has to be on your to-do list while in the area. However you choose to spend your days, you’ll feel utterly relaxed and completely at home.
