Designed and built by renowned Victorian architect William Watkins in 1875, this impressive English home is steeped in history. Despite being fully renovated in 2017, it still retains many of its original architectural features, from the elegant façade to the unique front porch made from over two tonnes of oak and stained glass. Step inside, though, and you’ll find that this place is far from old-fashioned, boasting colourful accents and modern amenities that’ll make you feel at home the second you cross the threshold. Make a beeline for the open-plan living area where you’ll find everything you need for a relaxing evening in with friends and family or grab a seat on the patio and unwind with a glass of wine while the younger members of your party make themselves busy on the wooden playground. Then when it’s time to eat, gather everyone around the dining table for a delicious, home-cooked meal followed by a gentle stroll to Lincoln Cathedral, the perfect place to soak up some local history before turning in for the night.
