The barn is more modern, with an open-plan living area where a wall of folding glass doors opens up to the outside patio. It’s beautifully bright and airy with a sleek breakfast bar separating the living room from the kitchen. Both buildings are connected by the outside space – lawns for games and patios for dining outdoors when the sun is out. This place is in a wonderfully secluded part of the country, with a lake a short walk away for post-breakfast strolls, villages with cosy country pubs within easy driving distance and Belsay Castle a seven-minute drive away.
