Tucked away in the heart of one of the Cotswolds' most luxurious retreats, this simply stunning stone house offers up style, elegance, and an effortlessly understated beauty in spadefuls. Situated close to the centre of the popular Cotswolds village of Painswick, and across from the famous St. Mary's churchyard with its immaculately kept ninety-nine yew trees, this home has undergone extensive though sensitive restoration that has only accentuated its original character and charm. The home is arranged around a central courtyard which, along with the pool and BBQ area to the rear provide wonderful spaces in which everyone can come together, socialise, and create unforgettable memories. A pizza oven/Braii and firepit in the courtyard are ideal for alfresco cooking on summer evenings, whilst the outdoor swimming pool is made for lazy, sun-soaked afternoons. There's also a projector room and bar area, two separate living rooms as well as a snug that we can just imagine curling up in with a good book and an even better glass of wine – the hardest thing will be deciding where to go first! The wonderfully well-equipped kitchen is perfectly designed for cooking up big family feasts, boasting four ovens, two hobs, two dishwashers, and a wine fridge. Painswick is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is set within an area of outstanding natural beauty, earning it the rightful title of "Queen of the Cotswolds". You'll see that many of the buildings in the village are made from locally quarried Cotswold stone, lending every street a distinctly quaint, chocolate-box feel. The village is also home to a variety of small shops, cafes, and restaurants – and the local pub with a large open fire is only fifty meters up the road!
