This historic home in the heart of the Derbyshire spa town of Buxton is perfect for a couple of couples seeking to explore the Peak District. Recently renovated, this grade II listed Victorian property built in the mid-1800s boasts both character, comfort and style. This sensational second-floor home and former Post Office features a cosy all-purpose kitchen cum dining and living room as well as two en-suite bedrooms. You’ll love taking your morning coffee at the breakfast bar, whipping up your signature dishes in the contemporary kitchen – think mint green walls, wooden floors, cream coloured cabinetry and low hanging lights – before dining together at the wooden table. Indulge in a long, hot soak in the tub before cosying up on the sofas and settling in for movie night. Alternatively, on sunny days why not spend the day out on the shared terrace where you’ll be able to barbecue to heart’s content or simply sit and chat surrounded by trees, flowers, and shrubs, not to mention the odd gnome? If you fancy getting out and about and exploring the home of Buxton water, you won’t be disappointed to discover a variety of independent shops, café, restaurants and bars as well as natural wonders such as Poole’s Cavern on your doorstep. Treat yourself to a spa day or if you fancy a little more activity, Buxton is a great base from which to explore the UK’s oldest National Park, the Derbyshire Dales and the magnificent Chatsworth Estate.

About The Peak District

The Peak District is England and Wales’ oldest national park, and its varied landscapes are a clue as to why the region was the first to be bestowed with the distinction. The park’s diversity can be appreciated by taking the time to explore both the so-called Dark Peak to the north, where you’ll find acres of moorland stretching out in front of you, and the limestone gorges and valleys of...
