This beautiful home in the quiet village of Stratton on the outskirts of Bude is packed full of character. Restored by its current owners, vibrant pieces of furniture leap out at you and feature wallpaper is peppered throughout to keep life interesting – you can tell, this is a home designed with love. Taking centre stage is the double-sided wood burner with a white-washed brick surround – imagine winter evenings spent here, the crackle of the fire warming you to your core and filling the space with an ambient amber glow, as you swing quietly in your hanging hammock chair, immersed in your holiday read. If that’s not relaxation at its very finest, we don’t know what is. Continue your journey around the inside space and there are constant surprises, with four bedrooms all with their own signature style, vintage bits and bobs, and even a dog bed tucked under the window seat, perfect should your four-legged friend be joining you on holiday. Summer evenings will be well spent in the tranquil garden area, seated on the terrace with a glass of wine in hand. There’s even an outdoor tub, set in the secluded patio, where you can enjoy a... soak under the stars – and with hot and cold taps, you can relax in a bubble bath whatever the season, it just depends on how brave you are in the cold. With Bude just a short drive away and the beautiful Cornish coastline on your doorstep, you can enjoy making wonderful memories with your loved ones, knowing that you have your chic, homely cottage to return to at the end of the day.
