Perched on the edge of Madeira’s south coast, this charming home has got ‘summer’ written all over it, boasting light-drenched interiors and a lush, tree-lined garden with views towards the Atlantic. There might not be a ton of showstopping amenities at this home, but that doesn’t mean we can’t see ourselves spending all day relaxing here, book in one hand and glass of wine in the other as one of our fellow guests rustles up a Portuguese-inspired feast in the kitchen. We can almost taste the seafood now… If you fancy a change of scenery, though, you’re within easy reach of Praia Formosa, known for its black pebbles and sand. Settle in for a day of sunbathing or slip into your swimming trunks and go for a refreshing dip in the glistening water followed by a small plate or two at one of the local restaurants. Then, when you’ve had your daily dose of being out and about, head back home and watch the sun set from your private balcony. We can’t think of a better way to end the day.
