Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
This is a practical - if compact - apartment located in Brooklyn's Bushwick. It might not be the most high-end home in our New York Collection, but it's thoughtfully laid-out and offers a playful outlook to life (and New York, for that matter). We couldn't talk about this home without mentioning your lovely host, however. Gabriel (or Gabe) is incredibly attentive and, as you might have noticed, quite a keen craftsman. He also sews and has a passion for converting small spaces into comfortable (and sometimes humorous) homes.

Home truths
This home is on the compact side overall and the living space feels a tad corridor-esque.
Located in Bushwick - it's about a 40 minute journey to Manhattan.
The extensive labelling throughout the home might feel slightly eccentric to some guests.
There is a set of stairs to climb to access to the main part of this home.
The cooker can be temperamental here and can take a long time to heat up.
The bedroom curtains here don't fully block out the sunlight. If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask.

Like many of Brooklyn’s once-undesirable neighbourhoods, Bushwick is emerging as one of the hottest new areas for young, artsy types and it’s easy to understand why, what with the area’s DIY art scene, independent...
