The narrow streets of Le Marais are the kind of scene you see in films depicting Paris – charming Haussmann buildings with wooden shutters housing bijou bistros, bakeries and quirky little art galleries. It is known as the city’s artsiest neighbourhood and the striking and stylish interior of this apartment fits right in. Everything feels like an ode to the 18th-century building this apartment sits in. The gilded tables and golden candelabra, the thick curtains swathing towering French windows, and the marble-effect walls. This place radiates style as soon as you step into the open-plan living area. Artworks depicting scenes from old Paris dominate the walls. Bedrooms are just as stylish as the living area with sparkling chandeliers above plush beds. Should you need to catch up on work, there are laptop-friendly desks – our favourite is the one next to the big windows.
