Housed in a 150-year-old building facing Barcelona’s Plaça del Sol, this bright hotel room is a simple, comfortable space to rest up between sightseeing adventures in this uniquely vibrant city. A crisp, white palette contrasts beautifully with the dark wood accents here, and the comfy bed taking centre stage is sure to inspire a dreamy night’s sleep. There’s a desk space here too should you need to catch up on work, as well as a luxurious rainfall shower that is sure to get any day off on the right foot. Your host provides a coffee machine and a mini fridge on request, and while there’s no real kitchen in your room, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants on your doorstep. After an afternoon spent visiting Gaudí’s architectural wonders – including Casa Milà, Casa Batlló and La Sagrada Família, come back home for a sunset drink on the communal roof terrace before sampling Gràcia’s cool Catalan bistros, wine bars and late-night tapas joints.
