This stunning stone-built home in the Northumbrian village of Lowick is charming, cosy and comfortable. Dating back to 1745, this historic home wears its heritage on its sleeve whilst also boasting a multitude of mod cons. Beautifully refurbished, this ground-floor home features a fully equipped fitted kitchen and open plan dining and living room complete with vaulted ceiling, Velux windows and an electric wood burner feature fireplace. You’ll love pulling a book off the shelf and cosying up in the reading nook by the wood burner, dining à deux in the light-filled living area and savouring a glass of wine out in the courtyard garden. Lounge on the outdoor sofa beneath the twinkling lights before treating yourself to a long, hot soak in the whirlpool bath. Settle in for a movie night before jumping into your super king-sized bed. Despite its peaceful, private setting, you’ll find your home’s location within only a ten-minute drive of the dramatic Northumbrian coastline and the Causeway at Holy Island. Close at hand are the villages of Ford and Etal with their quaint cottages, working water mill and light railway. The historic town of Berwick Upon Tweed with its castle walls and salmon fishing is fifteen minutes away while you can reach Alnwick – home to The Duke of Northumberland at Alnwick Castle and the magnificent Alnwick Garden – in half an hour.

About The Northumberland Coast

Right at the top of England, Northumberland’s great expanse is dotted with medieval strongholds that have seen many a bloody battle. A landscape rich with history, you can explore the crumbling ruins of clifftop castles or tour restored and retained masterpieces at Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle. Fishing villages punctuate the sweeps of undiscovered beaches along the coastline. Tangles of lobster pots sit on old stone harbours while boats trundle...
