With its Grade II-listed pier, higgledy-piggledy cottages and breezy pebble beach, Deal promises a quintessentially British seaside holiday. Spend warm days soaking up the vibrant coffee culture on the High Street or dipping in and out of the independent boutiques, just metres from your doorstep. History buffs should pay a visit to 16th-century Deal Castle, while sun worshipers soak up the rays on the promenade with an ice cream in hand. Back at your pad, the nautical interior design feels inviting and uplifting – we loved the deep blue hues and maritime knick-knacks. Kick off your shoes and make yourself comfortable in the living space. If it’s chilly out, bundle up on the sofa in front of the roaring wood-burning stove before sitting down to a plate of hearty, home-cooked grub in the kitchen. But if the weather is on your side, we recommend a barbecue and a pitcher or two of Pimm’s on the patio.
