Carve out some time for quiet reflection and relaxation at this pretty lakeside hideaway, set in one of the Cotswolds Water Park's most exclusive and award-winning developments. With water sports on tap upon the 114-acre sailing lake right outside, this lodge is a hit with kids and big kids alike. Moor at your private jetty – canoes, paddleboards, and kayaks are all available for hire. But if you'd rather stay on dry land, a spot of coarse fishing from your jetty might suit. Hop on a bike to explore the paths weaving through the surrounding 150 lakes (yes, really), or book a round of tennis on the shared courts. And when the sun shines, pack up your bucket and spades for a morning at the UK's largest inland beach with a purpose-built toddler paddling and playground area – it's just a five-minute drive away. When tummies start to rumble, it's back to the lodge to rustle up dinner in the sleek, modern kitchen. Flooded with natural daylight thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, cooking is a joy in the free-flowing, open-plan living and dining space. Or keep things easy and mooch over to the nearby village pubs in South Cerney, just... a short drive away, or even closer, the brasserie on neighbouring Spring Lake. The rest of the evening is yours to soak up the lake views from your private hot tub – the sunsets are spell-bounding, and just wait until the stars come out to say hello.
