If you want a whistle-stop tour of British architectural traditions, a visit to this Grade-II listed home is in order. Approach via the front and you're greeted with a classic Georgian facade, while if you venture around the back, you'll find a rather smart Regency addition to the property. This sense of grandeur continues behind the four walls. Hich-ceilinged rooms are home to lavish furnishings, ornate cornices and period fireplaces, while the impressive dining table sitting underneath a chandelier is ready and waiting for the most extravagant of banquets. What's also impressive is that, despite this heritage, there's a contemporary edge to the interior design that brings it up to the standard demanded by today's travellers. That's why you'll spot a contemporary country-style kitchen finished in fetching green and super-sleek bathrooms, some with tubs just begging for indulgent soaks. The well-stocked library and games area lets guests get hands-on if they so wish, while the large garden with lots of seating and mature trees is another big perk. In the local area, the village of Stonehouse is around one-and-a-half miles away and the town of Stroud with its famous farmers' market every Saturday is four or so. The Cotswolds AONB runs near the address and you'll find it a breeze to embark upon bracing country rambles.
