The esoteric details in this apartment fit right in with the Marais neighbourhood – often considered Paris’ artsiest district. The streets here are packed with brasseries, boutiques and chi-chi little art galleries, and the narrow alleys look like Paris straight from the silver screen. Of course, if you want to explore the major sights of the city – the Louvre, Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower – there are plenty of metro stations within easy walking distance. In the vast, open living room you’ve got an eclectic collection of music, films (there’s a projector and screen) and books galore. We love that the home’s library seems to spill out into every room – including the WC. The kitchen feels Scandi-chic in stone tones and there’s a cluster of candles in the old fireplace for hygge moments in the living room. Breakfast at the big dining table is a sunny affair, thanks to a line of French windows. There’s a dedicated office for those that need to get some work done and bagging the main bedroom means peace and quiet as it looks out over an internal courtyard.
