With the look of a stylish speakeasy, this cute red-hued studio won our hearts. We love the features here, such as the shuttered sash windows, the floral wallpaper and the chic prints and mirrors. Pour a glass of wine and relax on the plush armchairs. Or have a rest on the comfy bed in the bedroom with its navy wood panelling before heading out to explore in the late afternoon. The location is fantastic. George Street and Princes Street are a one-minute walk, so that's shopping covered. For culture lovers, the Scottish National Gallery and Scottish Gallery of Modern Art are an eight-minute saunter, while the National Portrait Gallery and the Museum on the Mound are both an eleven-minute stroll. The iconic Edinburgh Castle, St Giles' Cathedral, St James Quarter and the Old Town are all a fifteen-minute or less walk from your door as well. There's an array of eateries and bars nearby too, so this place is the ideal bolthole for a couple, solo traveller or business person looking to be in the heart of the city's action.
