Designed to reflect the old fishing cottages of Madeira, this home will provide you with peace in abundance. Nestled up above the ocean, and offering panoramic views of it from inside as well as outside, this stellar villa is ready to welcome you on a serene stay in the southern part of the island, close to Calheta and its wonderful man-made golden beach. We absolutely love the floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap around the living areas, meaning you can enjoy the glorious scenery without having to go and find it. The lounge is ideal for cosy drinks together as sunset, while the dining area makes a great place to feast on Piri-Piri chicken. The magic of the home truly sits in its outdoor areas. The wonderful outdoor pool means you can splash around under the sun, and the poolside loungers are a great place to chill out with a good book. You’re just a 30-metre walk down to the shared pebbly beach here where you’ll find a communal beach hut that you have access to. Here, you can grab a sun lounger to relax on, or even cook up some grilled meats and veggies on the barbecue and beach hut kitchen.

It's laid out over two floors with internal stairs
The beach hut, its kitchen, barbecue, toilet and seating area are shared with the two neighbouring villas
Due to its location, we recommend hiring a car here – there's free parking here, but it's only suitable for compact vehicles as access to the home is via a steep and narrow road
A cot is available on request – you'll need to bring your cot linens
Pool towels are provided
Pets may be able to be accommodated on request
Cleaning and linen changes are provided weekly for stays longer than a week
The third bedroom in the loft is accessed via a separate set of stairs
