Tucked away in the pretty town of Andrano, this historic home is full of character and Puglian charm. Showcasing carefully restored vaulted ceilings and whitewashed stone walls, you can soak up some of the local architecture without even leaving your own home. The garden is just as impressive, with plenty of green space plus a patio and a dining area that's ideal for sipping your morning coffee in the sunshine. Spend the day swimming in the private pool or simply reading a book on a sun lounger, or head out to explore. When it comes to things to see and do, a trip to Grotta Verde would be at the top of our list. Snorkel around this spectacular sea cave and see what lies beneath the sparking green water. Some of the most beautiful villages in Italy are less than 10km away if you fancy a change of scene – spend an afternoon wandering around Specchia's palazzos, churches and olive groves before heading home to relax. When you get home, fire up the barbecue and have a go at crafting a rustic Italian feast, which is best enjoyed alfresco in the garden. Post-dinner, pour yourself a glass of red and turn... on the whirlpool to unwind for the evening.
