When holidaying on one of the Greek islands, it's tempting to find a home as close as possible to the sea, but there's a lot to be said for settling on somewhere in the mountainous interior instead. When you experience the peace and tranquillity that surrounds this villa in the heart of Zakynthos, you'll see what we mean. Surrounded by woodland and verdant hillsides, you'll find it easy to completely switch off and relax at this address, with long days in the sunshine sure to be packed with paddling in the pool, sunbathing on the loungers and whipping up dinner on the barbecue. The balconies are a prime spot for catching the sunset, too. The home itself is generously sized with heaps of natural light coming in through the windows. We have to concede that it's not the most modern when it comes to interior design, with some parts looking a little dated. However, aesthetics aside, there are a few amenities that will help you feel at home, including the corner bathtub and fireplace in the living room. Although you could enjoy a relaxing stay without leaving the address, there are some attractions to explore not too far away. The nearest village, for... instance, is Vougiato only a kilometre away, while Laganas Beach is 9k away. The island's main town is a similar distance, too.
