This vision of natural wood and wicker sits on Milou Bay, close to the southern tip of Corfu. If you don’t mind a walk, the tavernas, shops and cafes of Lefkimi are a mile away and Bouka and Alikes beaches are just a little further. We love the bamboo poolhouse, covered with a wooden ceiling and home to an outdoor lounge and dining for the group. Loungers line an inviting rectangular pool on the wrap-around deck and its infinity edge looks out over olive groves. Inside, it feels as though the sofas, chairs and coffee tables have been made from wood washed up on the beach and lampshades could be woven from old fishing nets. This place feels enormous, thanks to a double-height ceiling and open plan. Bedrooms are tucked away at the back of the house, in soothing natural tones for a sound sleep.
