Part of a nineteenth-century palazzo building constructed in neoclassical style, this duplex apartment is actually way more modern than the exterior suggests. Large pieces of bold artwork and bright bursts of colour make the interior feel fresh and vibrant, while the minimalist staircase leading up to the cosy mezzanine bedroom is stylish as they come. It's immediately clear that the host has opted for quality when putting the space together, The yellow kitchen area was designed by Italian design firm Mudulnnova and is stocked with silverware and crockery from Villeroy & Boch. All this, and the location in the Centro Storico is outstanding, too. From the building's front door, look left and you'll see the sixteenth-century Chiesa del Gesù, while in the other direction, there's the ancient site of Largo di Torre Argentina where Julius Caesar was assassinated. The Pantheon only takes six minutes to reach on foot, too.
