Afandou lies minutes away, waiting to accept beach lovers with deep-blue water and golden sand. The iconic Rhodes Acropolis is a must-see and only on the other end of a short drive – and so is the famed Butterflies Valley. Much closer to visit is the Seven Springs, where you can find a restaurant hidden within a forest named for its seven springs. If you’re not eating there, you might stop at the taverna along the way for an authentic greek lunch. If you’re spending the day at home, we recommend lazy mornings in the sunshine with a good book or a sketch pad. Play games of Marco Polo in the private swimming pool and let the wine and conversation flow as you tuck yourself away in the shade of the covered terrace. Light the fire around lunch and grill octopus with veggie skewers that you can enjoy al fresco at the outdoor dining table.
