Modern in every way, this white-washed villa is a true Grecian retreat. An open-plan living area and sleek kitchen suit families and groups of friends who want plenty of room to relax. But once you step outside, you'll understand why it caught our attention. The garden is fantastic for unwinding in the fresh air – we're talking sun-kissed terraces, a private swimming pool and a grassy yard where little ones can happily let loose. The location is fabulous, too. You're just a short drive from the island's northern beaches – our favourite is Kremasti, a hot spot for kite surfing – and about ten minutes by car to Old Town Rhodes.

While one bathroom and the WC aren't photographed, we expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home
If you're travelling with little ones, your host may be able to provide a cot and high chair on request
Some of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, so this could be a good option for guests with limited mobility
The swimming pool isn't fenced, so children will need to be supervised at all times
During the cooler months, the pool is not heated
