Nestled a mere 200 metres from the beaches of Castellamare del Golfo, a town know as much for its restaurants and bars as its eponymous fortress and harbour, this minimalist villa with its modern sense of flare provides a trendy touch to a region steeped in tradition. This is the ideal place to let yourself live a little. Pour yourself a tall drink, pull up a sun lounger on the elegantly finished teak pool patio, look out over the blossoming garden and out to the seemingly infinite blue of the sea. You could easily spend whole days just wandering back and forth between the sun loungers, pool, and outdoor living room, while stopping off in the kitchen to refresh your drink or whip up a grazing board of Sicilian cheeses, cured meats, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes. But with so much to do and see in this region, why not drive over to the historic city of Palermo to explore its famous cathedral and innumerable stunning churches, or wander inland and uncover the natural beauty of the Parco delle Madonie with its wild mountainous slopes and medieval villages. Returning home in the early evening, settle in with a glass of wine... on your upstairs balcony to reminisce over another perfect day.
