Small but perfectly formed, this cosy holiday home is ideal for romantic couples as well as small families who want to enjoy the peaceful countryside of the Ligurian region of Italy. Based close to the Cinque Terre National Park as well as being just a short drive away from the port city of La Spezia, where you can explore historic spots as well as lovely restaurants and bars. Outside, this home has a private pool – a rare find in a home that sleeps just four people – as well as lots of loungers around it where you can rest and recline in the Italian sunshine. You'll feel totally at peace here, with large mountains surrounding you that are covered in lush and leafy greenery. Head over to the covered terrace to find a dining set where you can sip on sundowners with loved ones, as well as a hot tub that you can enjoy relaxing in on summer evenings. Inside, the home is compact and contemporary, with modern furniture and a funky striped floor – but it also features historic touches in the exposed beams and vintage decor that give it a touch of old-school cool. Here, you can cook up... hearty breakfasts in the kitchen, chill on the sofa on lazy mornings, and dine on tagliatelle around the dining set.

Made up of five historical fishing villages along the Ligurian coastline, the Cinque Terre is most easily reached by train, with the beautifully scenic route stopping at each village: perfect for town-hopping. And, while Manarola may be the most recognisable of the Cinque Terre locations,...
