Tucked away on the outskirts of Lagnes, this charming home is the perfect setting for a Provençal escape with friends or family. What started life as two separate farmhouses has been remodelled into one free-flowing property, boasting richly decorated interiors that make the home feel truly lived-in – albeit by a French aristocrat rather than your average Joe. Stone fireplaces and framed art pieces abound but if that’s not your thing, there are four hectares of gardens to explore. Dive into the swimming pool, practise your forehand on the tennis court, or find a secluded spot under an olive tree and unwind in peace. You’ve got the option of hiring a private chef to take care of you, but if you’d rather put your own culinary skills to the test, you’ll need to venture into L'Isle-sur-Sorgue to stock up on ingredients. The town’s 18th-century waterwheels and picturesque riverside cafés make this far from a chore though, and we wouldn’t blame you if you ended up whiling away the rest of the afternoon here rather than rushing home. After all, what’s a trip to Provence without detour or two?
