Just a sea polished stone’s throw from pretty Orford’s quayside, you’ll find this charming cottage. A short walk will take you to cosy pubs, tempting cafes and the village shop. There’s a 12th-century castle to explore too. A little further afield, beautiful Aldeburgh, once home to composer Benjamin Britten, is a twenty-minute drive away, and while visiting there, why not stop off at Snape Maltings? Founded by Britten, there’s a concert hall, cafes and gorgeous boutique shops to have a wander around. If it’s been a chilly day, return to this cute home and warm yourself by the log burner in the living room with its whitewashed exposed brickwork and handmade furniture – there are many rustic touches here. On warm days, sip a glass of wine or dine alfresco in the enclosed courtyard. If you need to work remotely, there’s a desk in the main bedroom too.
