No apartment is above criticism, but this place comes pretty close. It’s located right in the middle of Milan’s historic centre, yet it somehow remains peaceful and looks out onto a pretty courtyard. The open-plan living room is wonderfully designed, with plenty of entertainment options and bright, colourful decor. There are four large windows in this room, bringing in tonnes of natural light, and you can step straight out onto the long balcony for some fresh air (with doors from the living room and one of the bedrooms). Peruse the many books and trinkets on the expansive shelving, get comfy on the squashy sofa and chat as you rustle up a meal in the impressive, well-stocked kitchen. Both bedrooms are of a good size and you won't need to share a bathroom unless you bring extra guests for the sofa bed in the lounge. Everything is within walking distance and there are all sorts of great eating, drinking and shopping options just steps away.
