You'll be swinging with the best of them at this central and oh-so-elegant London apartment perched around the corner from Gloucester Road Underground Station (a four-minute stroll). Take your pick from chi-chi Kensington High street or Kings Road for brunch-worthy hangouts and high-end boutiques - both just a short walk away. Back home, set over three floors, the apartment feels surprisingly spacious, with a quiet desk nook tucked away on the top floor. While there's no garden to speak of (this is central London, after all), leafy Wetherby Gardens, just around the corner, is a lovely spot to take five in the sunshine.

It's famously home to the major cricket ground The Oval, but we're more interested in its Georgian architecture (check out the charming Cleaver Square, where you'll find locals playing boules and a cosy pub) and proximity to the cultural delights of the nearby South Bank.
