Less than sixty seconds from Kendal's high street, this Georgian home is really quite dashing from the outside, all imposing stone walls and sash windows. If we're to be frank, the anonymous interior design isn't quite as charming, especially as all the original fireplaces are purely decorative, but it's still solid enough. That being said, we've got kind words for the stone courtyard with enough space for alfresco dinners. The main draw here, however, has to be the location – the fells of the Lake District National Park start a mile from the front door.
