You can take your pick from two of North Cornwall’s best beaches at this home – Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth are both just a short drive away. While the pared-back interiors may not be anything to write home about, it would ideally suit a family wanting a fuss-free break by the seaside. There’s a bunk bedroom that children will enjoy and a suntrap garden with a Big Green barbecue for long summer evenings. Set in the sleepy hamlet of Tregurrian fringing Watergate Bay, the beach and cluster of seafront restaurants are walkable, but you might find it easier to hop in the car if you’ve got little ones in tow.
