It was this three-bedroom Victorian home’s artistic interiors – a blend period of features and pops of colour – that really caught our eye. Boasting a kitchen-dining room, sitting-dining room and conservatory, there’s also plenty of space to spread out. What’s more, the private, enclosed garden allows for alfresco dining in the summer sunshine. Although located in what is still defined as an ‘up and coming area’, this corner of South East London is awash with cool restaurants and bars. Well-connected, it’s a short walk from both New Cross and Deptford stations and only a 6-minute train ride from London Bridge.

About New Cross
New Cross is an often overlooked part of town which is now finally getting its due. The local art students from Goldsmiths (Damien Hirst, Sam Taylor-Johnson and Steve McQueen are all alumni) have brought an interesting mix of pop-up cafés, restaurants and music events to the area. This edgy, bohemian atmosphere have set the inevitable gentrification process in motion (where artists go, everyone else eventually follows) but fear not, New Cross still has some grit and character to it.
