Calling all nature lovers. Spread across two floors, this traditional house on Pico Island – home to Portugal's highest mountain – boasts unobstructed views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. It's not a luxurious stay but it is comfortable and there's a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, as well as a spacious garden featuring BBQ facilities for alfresco dining. It's best suited to guests who don't mind heading to the beach when they want to swim – there's no pool to cool off in here. While there are lots of outdoor walks nearby, we recommend hiring a car for your stay so you can explore the dramatic scenery of the Portuguese Azores with ease.
