In one direction, you’ve got the meandering trails of the Sierras de Tejeda Mountains and in the other, it’s a leisurely walk to Nerja’s beachfront. Simplicity is the watchword, inside and out. The backyard is dominated by a shimmering swimming pool – as it should be in the southern Spanish heat. The huge, open-plan kitchen, living and dining room is sleek, if a little sparse – a place for folk that prefer clear surfaces, no clutter and plenty of sunlight streaming in through walls of glass. Although there is a bathroom on the ground-floor, all of the bedrooms are upstairs so this place may not suit those with limited mobility
In the town of Nerja within walking distance of shops and restaurants, having a car is optional but there is off-road parking should you need it
Your host can provide a complimentary cot and high chair – this must be requested at the time of booking, and you’ll need to bring your own cot linen
The swimming pool isn't fenced, so children will need to be supervised at all times
