Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

There isn’t much that’s more Italian than a Vespa, and Farobasso has two of them. These are the most eye-catching vintage objects in the apartment, but there are many more - the host has tied the theme together nicely. The entire place has been recently redone, and you can tell from the excellent condition it’s in - the bathrooms in particular feel spotless. However, Farobasso is a way out of the historic centre. It might be well-placed to visit the Vatican, but to get to the Trevi fountain, or the Colosseum, you might be tempted to commandeer one of the scooters.

Local guide

About Aurelio

Despite its proximity to the Vatican, Aurelio is still often overlooked by Romans and tourists alike, only mentioned as the butt of the joke. However, it has more to offer than most would believe. A bustling residential district, it has plenty of local haunts with the clientele spilling out onto the street, as well as several green squares and a Russian Orthodox church, Santa Caterina Martire. It’s worth noting that some parts can be hard to reach, even with public transport, and it becomes less prepossessing as you head further north or west.

Host

This home is managed by Marco

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. All those photos on the wall were taken by Marco himself, who is completely obsessed with photography. He’s also a fan of motorbikes (can you tell?), so when it came to decorating the apartment and getting it to stand out a bit, he decided to turn to his interests. It all makes for a truly unique experience for his guests.
