Just 150 metres away from the beach resort of Cala Tarida, this home lets you have it both ways. On the one hand, you have the nearby resort to mingle with locals and fellow travellers, while the villa provides a secluded retreat. With plenty of areas to relax in the sun and overlook the sea, we found this home to be relaxation personified. Here you can enjoy flexible sleeping arrangements by turning three of the twin rooms into doubles, while one of the bedrooms is in a separate apartment. Work on your tan in one of the many outdoor areas – we are especially fond of the daybed – or head out for a diving lesson and some water sports.

This home is spread over three floors, with no internal lift – it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility
