Set in an 18th-century building, this first-floor flat has plenty of Roman charm. Not only are there vaulted ceilings, sash windows and hardwood floors, but inside you'll find lots of quirky trinkets that make this apartment feel like a home. There's the marble bust in the bedroom, the shelf crammed with books and the decorative Ibride trays hanging above the kitchen counters, just to name a few. This flat has all your needs covered – when you're feeling inspired, there's an antique desk to work from, when your feet are tired, there's the curved black velvet sofa to sink into, and when you need some time to yourself, there's the freestanding tub in the master bedroom to soak in. We have to admit the lighting situation isn't ideal – like most homes in Rome, there's not tons of natural light, and the bathrooms can be pretty dark with weak artificial lighting. That said, the location is excellent. You'll be situated directly on Piazza di San Calisto, right in the heart of characterful Trastevere, with many bars and restaurants nearby, including one directly beneath the apartment. It's a popular spot both day and night, and as such, it can get a little noisy, but being a fifteen-minute walk from Campo de Fiori and Piazza Navona is well worth it.
