Located in Milan’s trendy Navigli area, this really is a spectacular home, the likes of which are rare in the city. Set across several levels with mezzanines, spiral staircases and wonderfully hidden corners to retreat to with a good book, this vast apartment is a show-stealer of a space. We love the huge farmhouse kitchen with its tiled floors and quirky appliances (including an ice cream machine and a prosciutto slicer), as well as the mezzanine study with its vintage ornaments and wingback leather chairs. The bedrooms, while elegantly simple, are full of surprises too, like the master bedroom’s skylight reached via a spiral staircase and the second bedroom’s huge roof window and mini library. Step out onto the living room’s balcony for sunset views over the courtyard and the city beyond, then amble over to the wet bar to fix yourself a drink. With the Duomo just a thirty-minute walk away and countless restaurants lining the Naviglio Grande Canal right on your doorstep, this is the perfect base from which to experience Milan in style.

About Bocconi
Bocconi is an area in the South of Milan (still only a 25 minute walk to the spiky spires of the Duomo) that is probably most famous for being home to Bocconi University, one of the best universities in Italy. It's not the buzziest part of town but it's just a short walk either into the centre or to the neighbouring, and charming Navigli canal area, which is lined with restaurants and bars.

Host
This home is managed by Stefania
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Carlo holds a niche, but quite cool, claim to fame as one of the first Italians to graduate with a degree in computer science. He’s from Tuscany in originally, but spent many years working in Milan and London, before retiring to spend time with his grandchildren. You will very likely also come across the always smiling Stefania, who helps look after the property, and who works as an actress.
