You’ll have the Cotswolds on your doorstep at this country cottage in the historic village of Bretforton. Hikers, bikers and Shakespeare fans are well catered for here – you’re close to the Cotswold Way (a long-distance trail through the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and just a thirty-minute drive from the medieval market town of Stratford-upon-Avon. While the home itself isn’t the most luxurious in our collection, it still has plenty to offer. You can warm up around the wood burner on a chilly evening, soak up the sun in the conservatory-style sun room, and breathe in the fresh country air from the private courtyard garden. Plus the local pub is just a short stroll away – perfect for a pint after walking the dogs.

Home truths

If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance and bring your own linen. Only one infant is allowed to stay here.

Both bedrooms are on the first floor. Guests should be comfortable climbing stairs.

As well as your own private courtyard garden, you'll have access to a communal garden – this is shared with guests in the neighbouring cottages.

This home has a wood burner – logs are provided for an initial fire for bookings between 1st October and 31st March.

Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There’s free private parking for two cars here.
