Embrace the countryside charm of Ambleside from this traditional cottage. You’ll find plenty of restaurants, pubs, and shops within easy walking distance – perfect for families with young children. The little ones will also love the two parks with play areas that are just a few yards away. There’s even a path outside the rear gate leading straight to one of them. While this is convenient, bear in mind that this is a communal path and there’ll be people walking past the back gate throughout the day. But while you’re inside the cottage, you’ll be able to switch off from the outside world – there's a fireplace for ultimate cosiness, as well as plush sitting areas. The views across the stone brick village are the cherry on top.

About The Lake District

Poets and novelists have often escaped to the Lake District for a spot of inspiration. Famously, Wordsworth pondered about daffodils and clouds during his time here. The undulating hills are tracked with drystone walls while sheep graze, and farmsteads enjoy untouched beauty for miles around. England’s biggest lake, Windermere, cuts through a valley, sleek as glass and hosts a litany of cosy-pub-filled towns and water sports venues along its shores....
