How often do you get the chance to stay in the most-filmed apartment in Milan? Emerald City is set in an art-nouveau palazzo near the lively Porta Venezia, but when you step inside, it’s as if you were transported to another world. The colours and the bold, mismatched furniture almost resembles an Alice in Wonderland set. If you’re after a hotel-like experience, then other places will be better, but for charm and idiosyncrasy, Emerald City is hard to beat. There are also a couple of bikes that you can use, free of charge.
