While you’d initially not expect anything out of the ordinary, once you step off the street you can see why Elmer is so special. Beyond the pretty internal courtyard, there are small, multi-coloured accents all over the place, from the figure of a bull on the shelf to the kitchen tiles and the beautiful bathroom sink. It is on the small side, but two would be perfectly comfortable (it can hold four, but you’d have to be ready to share your personal space).

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Simone and his mother run a family operation to look after and rent out this flat. He’s a travel enthusiast (we couldn’t name a major European city he hadn’t been to), and it was this attraction to the exchange of cultures that brought him to his current hosting job, which he’s been doing for three years now.
