Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Set in a renovated home that dates back to 1880 and opens up to a beautiful garden, Lykke (meaning happiness in Danish) is all we want from a Copenhagen home. Bright and luminous, it sets the scene for a wonderful holiday with the family. The immediate neighbourhood has a distinct character (it’s on the quiet side), but it’s filled with beautiful buildings and swanky villas. We love the delicate combination of colours, Danish design icons (Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton), and the eye-catching posters from the host’s own company.

About Vesterbro

Vesterbro has gone through quite the change over the past couple of decades. It used to be a seedy red-light district, but has now made it onto the list of the most sought after neighbourhoods in Copenhagen – and it’s full of contrasts. Some residents are hipsters on bicycles who love drinking black coffee as they make their way down Istedgade, others are families with young children who love the...

Host

This home is managed by Lars

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Lars and Maria have been hosts since 2012. They live in their Frederiksberg home with their two daughters, which is why they prefer like-minded families to stay in their home (it oozes family with a capital F). An experienced documentary filmmaker, Lars travels a lot, so we’re sure he has a lot of interesting stories to share.

This home is a Plum Guide Award winner.
