Welsh Pears has clearly been designed to cater to the higher end. It’s been done up for luxury, rather than with a particular personality, but which end of the spectrum you prefer is down to the individual. There’s no doubting the quality of the furniture in the flat, or the exclusive location in a gated community in Bayswater (with the tube just a couple of minutes away on foot). While it wasn’t in perfect condition, the issues that we did find (such as damp patches) are easily fixable, and shouldn’t negate everything else.

Home truths
One of the beds indicated is a cot, which is clearly only suitable for an infant
There's not enough space outside if the flat is full
Some of the cabinet doors in the dining room were slightly askew
There's nothing in the way of basic ingredients provided
We found several instances of damp in the bedrooms, although these were being taken care of
There are security cameras in the flat
The flat is in a gated community, and there's a clerk on the gate between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday
