Animalia is one of those homes that manages to tell a story. All the artworks are original pieces made by the host and his father, and the beautiful vintage-style cast iron chairs are sourced from his uncle’s bar.

With its New York-like appeal (think exposed brickwork), paired with a minimalist aesthetic and black-and-white photography, it’s needless to say that On Balance is special. It’s a little small (you have to share one bathroom), but we’re willing to look past that minor detail.
