Top 20 Nyhavn, Copenhagen vacation rentals & luxury serviced apartments
Nyhavn is the Copenhagen you see on postcards. With its brightly coloured houses that line the streets along the bustling waterfront, it’s potentially the most photographed spot in the city. Other than the honour of having the Queen in your neighbourhood, you are also within walking distance to the Royal Danish Theatre and Playhouse, Kongens Nytorv and Strøget. Everybody’s favourite sculpture - The Little Mermaid - is also in the neighbourhood and is a 20-minute stroll along the scenic harbourfront from Nyhavn. The waterfront itself can get quite noisy at night as it’s a popular out on the town spot, especially on summer evenings, where it’s not uncommon to see people sitting along the harbourfront enjoying a cold beer. If you are looking for more peace and quiet, it’s worth exploring some of the narrow, cobble-stoned side streets along the harbour that house traditional Danish smørrebrød restaurants, bakeries, and unique shops.
