Top 20 Nyhavn, Copenhagen vacation rentals & luxury serviced apartments
Nyhavn is the Copenhagen you see on postcards. With brightly coloured houses lining the bustling waterfront, it’s the most photographed spot in the city. Found within the city limits of Indre By, it’s typically the first stop on any tour of Copenhagen as it’s within walking distance to some of the most famous attractions – Strøget, Kongens Nytorv, Designmuseum Danmark, Amalienborg Palace (where Queen Margrethe lives), as well as Kastellet. Everybody’s favourite statue – The Little Mermaid – is also in the neighbourhood, take a stroll along the scenic harbourfront, past Kastellet and Amaliehaven with its beautiful views of the Opera House, and you’ll reach her in about twenty minutes. Loved by tourists and locals alike, Nyhavn itself can get a little noisy at night due to the many restaurants and bars, but this part of Copenhagen is magical. If you are looking for more peace and quiet, it’s worth exploring some of the narrow, cobblestone side streets along the harbour that house traditional Danish smørrebrød restaurants, bakeries, and exclusive shops.
