There are also on-site shops, making this an oh-so-convenient base in Dubai.

Check out those views. Located close to the beach while still within touching distance of the city, this Dubai department is a sun-soaked base with sea and city views seen through its large windows. The balcony is a nice touch that lets you step out into the heat, and we were especially fond of the sleek main bedroom – although the view was slightly obscured in this room, you can still overlook the harbour here. Nearby you've got the usual plethora of shopping destinations and eateries, and the building itself has distractions in the form of a gym, pool, and kid's play area.

Or jump in the car and join the locals down at Dubai Marina and the winding Souks of Madinat Jumeirah (both within easy reach) for a more authentic taste of Dubai life.

Looking out over to the Dubai Eye and Arabian Gulf, this luxurious apartment invites you to experience the city in style. You're a short walk from the Dubai Marina's countless boutiques, fine-dining restaurants and cocktail bars, with plenty of Dubai's bucket list sights right at your feet. 

Stepping into the apartment itself, it's a bright and practical space that sets you up for seamless modern living. The open-plan living area connects the apartment, making it easy to host, cook, and entertain with your friends and family. And of course, you'll also have access to a private balcony, expanding your communal space and creating the perfect spot for morning coffees.

From the private balcony, you’ll enjoy vistas of the ocean and the Dubai Eye – you can also easily access the Palm Jumeirah from here. Aside from the pad’s many comforts, you’ll be able to take advantage of the building's communal facilities, such as the swimming pool and gym. 

Ocean of Opulence 

You’ll find this apartment in the West End of Dubai Marina, with easily accessible public transport on hand and JBR, the beach, and a host of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. In short, we think its enviable location provides the perfect base to explore Dubai. While the apartment isn’t the biggest, the sea view balcony is a nice touch and with shared facilities including a pool, gym, sauna and steam room, you’ll never be short of things to do when you opt for a quiet day at home. 

Golden Getaway

Occupying a privileged spot overlooking the sea, this apartment provides a relaxing retreat for groups on Dubai's famous Palm Jumeirah. You'll have direct access to the building's private beach, shared outdoor swimming pools, on-site gym and communal gardens. Those travelling with children will also find play areas and a park. Inside, the space is stylish and practical, equipped with three on-site bathrooms, a working desk area, a single sofa bed, and a private balcony with picturesque views over the complex. All in all, this pad has a lot going for it.

It's housed in a residential building, so you'll also have use of the 5-star shared facilities here, including an outdoor pool and a fully-equipped gym – ideal for longer stays. The interiors are kept fairly simple, but the private balcony is a real highlight, and the en-suite bathrooms will help to speed mornings along. Just keep in mind that one person will be sleeping on a sofa bed at full occupancy. Outside, it's a short stroll from the Dubai Marina's restaurants and shopping mall, while JBR Beach is easily reachable for a change of scenery.

Look at the spectacular sea and Dubai skyline vistas from this Palm Jumeirah home's private balcony. You can enjoy more views from the inside, too – we particularly love the outlook from the bedrooms. There are some excellent shared facilities here – check out the pool and the beach cabanas. You can also dine at the beachfront restaurant, entertain the kids in the play area and keep fit in the communal gym. Out and about, there are plenty of eateries and boutiques, but if you want to explore many of the city's attractions, you'll need to hop in a cab, hire a car or use public transport. Alternatively, you can let your host organise a private chauffeur or city tour for you.

Palm Jumeirah Escape

Just minutes away from Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountain, and the Dubai Opera, this high-rise home places you in a prime position for exploring the city. Ideally suited to a couple or solo traveller, this fuss-free apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The highlight for us? It has to be the private balcony, affording sweeping city views, day and night. Add in communal amenities including a swimming pool and fitness centre, and you can’t go wrong with a stay here.

Situated on Bluewaters Island, this apartment places you in a prime spot,  just a short stroll from JBR Beach. From here, you'll also find The Walk, Ain Dubai, and The Palm Jumeirah within easy reach. Housed in a residential building, there's a communal swimming pool and an on-site gym for you to enjoy too, when you're not out exploring. While this might not be the most characterful place, the apartment is bright and modern, with a sofa bed in the living area for a third guest. The terrace is our favourite spot, with comfy outdoor furniture and sea views – it's the perfect place to relax after busy days in Dubai.

Housed in a residential tower, this sleek pad is a great base for small groups with its shared amenities and central address. From here, you're a ten-minute walk from the Burj Khalifa and within easy reach of the Dubai Opera and the Dubai Fountain. Inside, the apartment's biggest draw is the private balcony, where you can escape the Downtown noise. The interiors are a little generic for our liking, although you'll find everything needed for a comfortable stay here – we especially appreciate the en-suite bathrooms. You'll also have access to the building's shared swimming pool and communal gym – ideal for filling the gap in between sightseeing ventures. 

Khalifa Dreams

Situated on Palm Jumeirah, this apartment is a great choice for solo travellers or couples in search of an easygoing stay. The apartment building lies directly across from Nakheel Mall, providing an array of dining options and shops. Of course, you'll be within easy reach of the beach here too. When you're not out and about, make the most of the shared on-site facilities, including an infinity pool and a gym. While the interiors are a little plain for our liking, the pad is set up nicely for long stays, with a fully equipped kitchen and laptop-friendly workspaces. There is also space for a third guest on the sofa bed in the living area. 

Sunset Simplicity

With unfettered views of the marina and the Dubai Eye from its private balcony, this sky-high apartment is the ideal base to return to after a busy day spent working or sightseeing. From a fully equipped kitchen to storage space in the bedrooms, a seamless stay is guaranteed here. Better still, you have access to a communal swimming pool and gym. We recommend hiring a car for getting around, and on-site parking makes exploring easy. You'll be pleased to know JBR Beach is less than a fifteen-minute drive away.
