You can enjoy more views from the inside, too – we particularly love the outlook from the bedrooms. There are some excellent shared facilities here – check out the pool and the beach cabanas. Out and about, there are plenty of eateries and boutiques, but if you want to explore many of the city's attractions, you'll need to hop in a cab, hire a car or use public transport. We were so excited when we saw this home which sits adjacent to one of Dubai's most iconic attractions, the palm-tree-sculpted archipelago of the Dubai Palm. But what we really love is the pure luxury of access to a private beach on the Emaar Beachfront. You can also head to the Ibn Battuta Mall or The Palm Jumeirah by taxi in under fifteen minutes.

Back at this stylish home, another highlight is the stunning Dubai Marina and skyline vistas – they really took our breath away. Relax on your private balcony with a coffee or enjoy the views from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living space. There’s a communal outdoor swimming pool and a shared gym if you’re feeling energetic as well. This place is a real gem – it’s absolutely perfect for entertaining your family or friends.

The apartment building lies directly across from Nakheel Mall, providing an array of dining options and shops. Of course, you'll be within easy reach of the beach here too. While the interiors are a little plain for our liking, the pad is set up nicely for long stays, with a fully equipped kitchen and laptop-friendly workspaces. There is also space for a third guest on the sofa bed in the living area.

If you’re staying in a city as dazzling as Dubai, then you need an apartment to match – and this penthouse on the Palm Jumeirah certainly ticks the box. Perched on the outer edge of the Palm Jumeirah, this apartment brings together a luxurious interior and a fabulous collection of amenities, all in a truly superb location.

The home itself feels bright and fresh, thanks to the stark white walls and floors. A colourful collection of artwork and rugs pop off pleasingly against this blank backdrop, while the kitchen is both impressively large and sleek, too. We're also big fans of the fact that, In one of the bedrooms and the living room, there are balconies with space to sit and ponder the peaceful sea views.

This would be more than enough by itself, but guests are also treated to plenty of communal facilities within the building. These range from a palm-lined swimming pool and private beach to a tennis court and fitness centre with a sauna.

And that's before you get around to the wealth of things to see and do nearby, as well. The boutiques and designer shops on the Golden Mile are only ten minutes' drive, as are the Lost Chambers Aquarium and the Palm Fountain.

The Palm Jumeirah is an area unlike any other. Narrow, long stretches of land jut out like leaves into the sea, creating the image of a palm tree from above. It sounds impractical, but Dubai has made it work perfectly.

Your 'leaf' is home to your own luxurious villa and a private beach. Secluded and peaceful, you can enjoy the golden sands and crisp water all by yourselves. If you wanted a change of scene for your swim, hop in the fresh pool water that looks out across your mini shoreline. 

After sampling the water options, rest under the poolside bed, sheltered by a canopy from the sun. It's an idyllic spot to relax with a book, have a mid-afternoon nap or just watch the world go by. When you fancy a more social scene, there are numerous seating areas that are made for sharing sumptuous food and drinks. 

Though the villa maintains a sense of privacy at all times, you're well-connected to Dubai's must-see areas. The Dubai Marina is just ten minutes by car, whilst you can stroll to Club Vista Mare – a collection of high-end restaurants on the pier.
